Sacramento River salmon fishing report.

There are schools of fresh king salmon moving up the Sacramento River this week and if you are in the right section of river on the right day you can expect to get some savage strikes.  The kings running up the Sacramento River this week are chrome bright and quite large.  Above average kings 25 to 28 pounds are being landed recently on sardine wrapped "old style" kwikfish lures.  These kwikfish have special finishes and a unique swim from their build.  These plugs put infront of these Sacramento River king salmon trigger savage takedowns with the end result a quality king to take home for the table!  The peak season is just weeks away with late August and all of September being primetime salmon fishing on the Sacramento River.

If you think coming out and catching one of these salmon you see in these photos from a recent trip on the Sacramento River, give guide Dave Jacobs a call to get booked in on the ultimate salmon fishing charter with the top guides...call guide Dave Jacobs at (530)646-9110 today!
