Fishing along the canal by the entrance booth and the rip rap in front of the bait shop has been really good for trout, stripers, and catfish on various over the past couple of weeks. Nightcrawlers have been working well for trout, bass and stripers along the shorelines and coves throughout the lake drop shot style. Lots of stripers along the shorelines and coves throughout the lake drop shot style. Lots of stripers have been caught around the lake by Yellowbar, Posey Canyon, Spanish Pint and off the points along the swim beach using sardines, anchovies and chicken liver.

The bass bite is starting to pick up around the lake with anglers having more success using jerk baits, crank baits, and various soft plastic setups such as senkos, roboworms and craw style plastics. After the past few trout plants, mice tails, kastmasters and rooster tails have been very successful along with powerbait and worms.

The bait bite for stripers has been excellent over the past couple of weeks along the rip rap by the boat shop, the canal along the front by the entrance booth and the swim beach area. Limits of trout have been caught over the past week all along the shoreline and throughout the marina on various baits such as kastmasters, spinners, mice tails, nightcrawlers and powerbait. Stripers are still biting on sardines and anchovies along the canal by the entrance booth and the rip rap by the bait shop.
