Making the call to avoid crap conditions on the outside for the first part of the day we were the beneficiaries of some fine timing and fishing. What began as a morning became the day when the yellowfin went missing and the yellowtail were eager to fill the void. Through mid afternoon we enjoyed steady action on beach grade, 12 - 16 pound yellows with four or five handfuls of smaller fish mixed in. Between the variety from various other beach species eager to join the party, the rail time in comfortable conditions on the inside, and pace of action we could not have expected a better result. While being in the right place at the right time is rarely by accident no doubt the fish gods smiled upon us large. Good livin'. Of course the exuberant climate changed somewhat when the bill came due. While no big deal on our platform the ride home was a definite slog. Lots of bumpin', jumpin', and water flying. All in a days work that was well worth the effort and time. Enjoy images of Royal Star veterans from long past Tim Williams and Miles Eddow with their yo yo taken yellows.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4764 to get in on the action.
