Currently there are 2 boat ramps open at Lake Oroville. The concrete ramp at bidwell and the gravel ramp at the dam. Make sure you have 4 wheel drive at the dam. The lake is somewhere around 240 feet down. There is tons of debris in lake so be cautious when running around on the lake. The log dams are in place up the arms. Water clarity is between 2 and 2.5 ft. Water temperature is around 63 degrees.

Bass fishing on Lake Oroville is on fire right now. Fish are eating a lot of different baits. Josh threw reaction baits like crankbaits, spinnerbaits and A-rigs with success. When Josh was throwing a jig the fish seem to be short striking the jig so he had to downsize his trailer to get more fish. For Josh throwing more natural colors or browns seem to be the ticket. Fish were schooling around pond smelt. Overall he caught a lot of fish. Some in the 2.5 pound class as well as the normal Lake Oroville cookie cutters. Hope this information helps you on your next trip to Lake Oroville. Tight lines everyone.
