The clowns and jesters act wore thin as the day progressed and the jumbos no showed. Great conditions, beautiful weather, and plenty of life fueled optimism and kept everyone focused at the rail. The complete lack of reward for such worthy effort definitely stung. So the wait begins. A true Mexican standoff patience is a crucial component in this type of fishing. Stories of Captain's bailing out on futile missions while those that stayed ultimately win are many. We'll see how this plays out. Never being one to accept mediocrity rest assured we will not wither on vine. But, we're not quite ready to head out looking yet. This zone by a long way has been the best, if not the only, game in town.

Today's image features sunrise on the grounds. Magnificent.
