With recent snow and rain, Hood River flows have been dynamic over the past several weeks but there have been a few good windows for steelhead anglers to get out. From now through April numbers of winter steelhead in the Hood River will continue to increase. The winter steelhead run on the Hood River generally peaks mid to late March/early April and the bag limit is 3 hatchery steelhead per day. ‌

Bait is allowed, many Hood River steelhead anglers use a soft bead with scent
