Knot Creek Reservoir is located 2 hours Northwest of Winnemucca Nevada and about a 4 hour drive from Reno. The lake is well known by the locals for having some outstanding trout fishing. The lake has plenty of water this year and the fishing has been good all season. Damsels, Callibaetis and midges are hatching in this high desert lake and fish are being caught on dry flies in the mornings and evenings. During the day stripping Wooly Buggers, Leaches, Sheep Creek Specials and Damsel Nymphs in 4 to 12 feet of water is also producing.
