Bass and Bluegill were the center of attention this week at Jess Ranch Lake

The full moon on Friday slowed the bite but most Anglers who worked their tackle and baits were rewarded with limits of trout. Best bite was before noon. Power Bait (especially salmon peach, garlic and orange), night crawlers, jigs and lures all caught limits. Hot spots included the northern shore of lake 2 as well as the western shore and grassy point of lake 3.

BASS:
Anglers are reporting prime bass action using senkos and drop shotted night crawlers on both lakes. Bass hot spots include the eastern shore near the wall and the northern shore near the bridge of lake 2 as well as the northern and western shores of lake 3.

BLUEGILL:
Bluegill bite was slower this week with angler using meal worms and crappie jigs with fish up to one and half pounds. Hot spots for bluegill include the south western and eastern shore of lake 2 and the northern shore of lake 3.

Big Catches of the Week:
George Fraizer of Apple Valley caught is 5 Lbs 3 Ozs trout on an orange Power Worm while fishing the grassy point of lake 3.

The summer heat and light winds slowed the bite this week but anglers who worked their tackle and baits got their trout.
