(1590 cfs) - As of today, 8/10/13, the South Fork of the Boise River is currently inaccessible due to a fire. Otherwise, the fishing has still been fairly inconsistent. Apparently, even the canyon stretch has been slow. The big bugs lasted for over a month, but they are now done and it is time to start concentrating on hoppers, caddis, and pinks. Rumor has it the flows will be lowered some time in the middle of this month. Once the flows make it to wading levels, we are hopeful that the fishing will improve, albeit it will require more stealth and lighter tippets. Once the roads re-open and it is fishable, we will try to update the conditions on this river.

Recommended Flies: #8/10 Parachute Hopper, #10 Tan Morrish Hopper, #16-18 Last Chance CDC Pink Albert Cripple, #16/18 CDC Thorax Pink Albert, #14-18 Spent Patridge Caddis, #16/18 Pheasant Tail Nymph, #12 Cased Caddis, #4/6 Jimmy legs, #2 Olive/White Dolly Llama, #2/4 Danny Boy Sculpin.
