San Juan Angler

The key to success is deep and slow it seems. Nymphing is better than the streamer bite for some reason. Size 4 Jimmy legs in orange with a smaller nymph off the back seems to be doing the trick. The dropper fly I was using was a size 12 Oops. I was using 5 med. split shot to get my nymphs down in the water. 3x tippet is also in order just incase you hook up with something big your going to want to stop it. There are still a lot of rainbows in the 8-10inch range running around as well. In a couple hrs. you can catch quite a few, work through them cause the big browns might be below them. If you want to huck streamers Black and Olive are good colors to try. Only about 3-4 days left to float it as well, covering water from a boat will give you more chances at a monster fish!
