Little Virginia Lake - Bridgeport, CA (Mono County)

The evening air temperature has finally started to drop as fish are breaking the water once again. It was a great sight this evening as all the fish were rising to emergers and anything that resembled food. Another smoke filled day but one lucky guy from Huntington Beach was fortunate enough to be at the right spot at the right time and Al Varelas took home the prize of the week fly weighing 5 lb. 2 oz caught on an Adams. Fish are hanging in about 5 to 10 feet of water so try an intermediate sink with either brown or olive woolly buggers, Adams dry, or a partridge soft hackle in peacock with a tinge of yellow. Fishing has improved greatly in the past 3 days even with the moon waxing into it's glory.

Virginia Lakes Resort is located near the top of Conway Summit between Mono Lake and Bridgeport, CA. We have everything you need to enjoy the Eastern Sierra. Check out our WEBSITE.
