Almanor Lake Fish Report

Lake Almanor - CA (Plumas County)

Surface temps have been in the low to mid 50s depending where you are. Clarity has improved to almost 10 ft. The lake has turned over and the thermocline has dissolved away.

Fish are all over the depth range, Sonar pings show fish at all levels. We caught them down deep, mid-range, and close to the surface trolling. Most of our hookups came before the sun cleared Dyer Mountain. After that it slows before coming on again after 10:30 a.m. The bite is random throughout the day.

For the most part, it was a weak bite this past week with lots of boats reporting a single fish or a couple, even a few reporting “The Big Goose Egg” syndrome. http://www.almanorfishingadventures.com
