Open year-round. Water temperatures have increased slightly. Flows increased from the rain last Monday and turned the river chocolate. The river should be clearing and returning to base flow. The gage is currently not working to determine flows. Fishing should be good once the river clears. ‌

Catch rates are low but redband trout are recolonizing the Bootleg Fire burned area. Fish density is increasing very slowly due to the Bootleg Fire but redband trout have been the first to recolonize the areas near the 3411 Rd bridge crossing.‌

Large stoneflies should be hatching near the 3411 Rd crossing creating good dry fly opportunities. Fishing for brook trout is good above Sandhill Crossing. Look for abundant grasshoppers in the meadow sections of the river
