Most popular baits reported this on the lake this week were rapala lures, 4" rubber worms, sinko and crank bait. Folks at the pond were using powerbait, worms and orange mouse tails.


Trolling out by the dam for trout brought one fisherman a crappie while casting for bass brought another fisherman a good size catfish down the river.

We will be warming up nicely throughout the week and possibly making it to low to mid 90's by Thursday. Lots of sunshine forecasted with overnight temps in the lower to upper 50's.

Lake Camanche's current elevation is 196.48 ft. above sea level. Water temperature at the launch ramps is approximately 59 degrees and the lake is 42% full. The inflow from Lake Pardee is currently 11 c.s.f. and the outflow from Lake Camanche is currently 323 c.s.f.

Great week for fishing! Spotted and large mouth bass along with trout were the top reported catches this week. Bass were pulled in all along the Narrows, the Lancha Plana bridge area, down the river and out off of Eucalyptus near the new island. Hot Spots, Hot Baits! Both bass and trout of very respectable sizes were hauled in this week. The top bass weighed in at 12.95 lbs and top trout was 14.64 lbs. The bass was caught on the lake at an unspecified location and the trout was from the pond. Other hot spots this week were trolling by the dam and down the Narrows.
