According to Captain Temo Verboonen, the inshore and offshore action is "as good as it gets" and the inshore roosterfish bite, both north and south of the Bay, is providing an outstanding bite on the bigger roosters. Good dorado, big eye jacks and bonitos are biting near the rocks and the offshore waters just a few miles out front of the Bay is providing good sailfish action and dorados, (quality sized fish in the 30-plus lb. ranges). Starting to see some floating logs in the area that are bringing bait with them and the bigger fish are following. Ocean is calm and the action outlook is excellent. Send some anglers. This was the bite through the full moon and it should continue for the next week or two with good weather throughout the area.

IZ Climate: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance for a rain shower and varied temps that ranged from 74 nights to 90 daytime highs. Very comfortable weather.

Sea Conditions: Water temps stable and warm at 85 to 86 and ranging from inshore to offshore. Light surface breezes flowing mostly from the southeast and ranging from calm to about 8 mph.

Best Fishing Area: A smorgasbord of areas and good for all. Sailfish and big dorados starting at about 7 miles out front of the bay. Very good action at the rocks for dorado, big eye jacks and bonitos. Roosterfish in good numbers, mostly bigger fish, north and south of the Bay.

Best Bait/Lure: The sailfish eager on the rigged baits and so are the dorado. Dorado also biting the artificials in the offshore waters. Spoons are working very well near the rocks for dorado, bigeye jacks and bonitos. Live bait and poppers working very well on the roosterfish.

Bait Supply: The bait supply is excellent with readily available fresh caught baits for rigging and live bait at the $5.00 per dozen rate.
