The sailfish action continues to be the focus of the billfish action in the area and the blue & white marlin were absent this past week. Given the excellent water temperatures throughout the area, I would have expected to see a few more white marlin and blue marlin in the mix, but perhaps the full moon phase took some effect? We'll see what this week produces for the anglers. The overall catches for a total of 39 days fished included 10 sailfish, 15 dorado, 44 bonito, 10 giant barracudas, 11 blackfin tuna, 1 Spanish mackerel, 1 king mackerel, 11 snappers, 3 grouper, 1 triggerfish, 14 chack-chi (blackfish) and 1 coronado.

PM Climate: Mostly cloudy days with a slight chance for an occasional shower. Temperatures varied from 76 nights to 86 daytime highs. This is very easy sunburn conditions so be sure to have plenty of quality suntan lotion, bring your hats and light weight long sleeve shirts, pants and even socks if you wear thongs or go barefoot.

Sea Conditions: Warm and stable water temps throughout the area, holding at 84 degrees. Surface breezes continue to flow from the easterly directions from near calm to 12 mph.

Best Bait: The ballyhoo continues to be the bait of choice and continues to be readily available on a daily basis and in a variety of sizes, all provided as part of the charter fishing arrangement.
