http://www.montanaflyfishing.comThe Madison below Quake Lake has been the most consistent for dry fly activity and the afternoons have seen some great emergences of Midges and Baetis. For Baetis I like the Missing Link Olive #20 with a black winged Baetis cripple #20 or Adams Cripple #18-20. For Midges a Zelon Midge #20-22 or a Skittering Midge will do the trick. The nymphing has also been very good! A Thin Mint Baetis #18 has taken many fish over the past week along with Zebra midges #18-20, Gidget #20, Rubber legs brown #8 and Juju Baetis #18-20.

The Madison between the lakes continues to fish well with Pat's Rubber legs #8, #18 $3 dips, Crystal Dips #16-18, Thin Mint Baetis #18. Keep your eyes open for Baetis in the afternoon, especially towards the bottom end of this stretch. Streamers such as "THE ONE" in natural or an Articulated Monkey in olive are great choices if you are looking for that monster brown.......
