Murray Reservoir Fishing Report

by Murray Reservoir Staff

Trout are scheduled to be stocked again next week. Trout bite has been slow but some are being caught within a few days of the stock. Bass bite has been steady but requires patience and slow presentations are working best. Bass have been hitting swim baits, plastics, crawdads and live shiners. Crappie bite has been good for those in the know. In general if you can find them in deeper water you can catch them on spinners, jigs, and shiners. Fishing dock has produced some large catfish on Mackerel. Camp Pendleton Bass Anglers club held a tournament on 01/23/16: 11 Anglers caught 9 fish with the largest at 4.05 pounds.
