Where'd they go? From bonanza fishing back to slow fishing in just a week, following the full moon. If anything, we expected it to just get better than it was and for some unknown reason, the fishing "went south" for this week. The boats, reporting in for 17 days fished, reflected 6 sailfish, 4 jack cravelle and 2 dorado, (to 48 lbs.) for the offshore waters. The inshore fishing with the super pangas was fast action and generally easy limit type fishing for a myriad of critters, including sierra, pargo & cochitos, along with 30 barracuda and 2 baquetas.

Mazatlan Climate: Picture perfect, sunny & warm, temps at 67 nights to 90 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: Calm, light surface breezes, temps at 75 inshore and rising to 81 offshore.

Best Fishing Area: None reported

Best Lure/Bait: All billfish taken on slow trolled rigged baits.
