Foundation offices on Indianola Rd. Bayside, CA
March 1-2, 2007, the Dept. Fish & Game Commission will have their March meeting at
Humboldt State University, Nelson Hall, #1 Harp St. Agenda Items #15-16 are to be on
the Klamath River Sport Fishing and In-River Fall Chinook Salmon Allocations. These
are very important meetings for the North Coast fishing. The agenda for this meeting
is posted on the DFC home page.
The early counts and estimates for Fall Chinook are showing more Salmon than expected. The estimates are showing that we could have as many as 73,400 in-river spawners with as much as 63,000 hatchery fish returning. If this is correct the Trinity could have a very good salmon season this year. Now let's hope that we don't have a bad water year to go with it.
