Lake Oroville Fishing Report
Lake Oroville - Oroville, CA (Butte County)
10-2-2008
Even with difficult launch conditions, Lake Oroville is still kicking out good bass fishing, according to Fil Torres at Oroville Outdoors. "Bass fishing on Oroville is really good right now", said Torres. "People are reporting the release of up to 30 bass per day, although only a few of those will be over the slot limit. The bass are anywhere from the bank down to 40 feet, and are hitting on reaction baits and plastics."
Torres continued, "The launching situation is difficult. At the Spillway Launch, there is no dock, but they are not charging to launch. At Bidwell, they do have a dock, and are charging to launch. A four-wheel drive vehicle is required, and a Bidwell in particular you must be especially careful when taking the boat out of the water due to ruts and holes."
