This fish report is from Pete Hillis, reporting out of Pedro's Pangas, San Quintin, Baja Mexico for the week ending March 6, 2009.

Things have picked up a little. We had 6 boats out this week. Everyone came down for the great bottom fish and were not disappointed. Nice ling cod and limits plus on rock cod and white fish were brought in at the 240 and 15 fathom spots.

I have been working with Baja Tourism at the Fred Hall Fish & Tackle Show and have been given information that the office of the State Secretary of Tourisum for Baja is now processing on-line applications for Mexican sport fishing permits. The weather has been pretty much the same as the Southern California area. Conditions have been cold mornings and evenings, but then it warms up late in the morning through much of the afternoons.
