The reservoir is at 44% storage capacity and rising. Ice is 20 to 24 inches thick with 3 to 5 inches of snow covering the lake. The edges at the main ramp were good with snowmobile and four-wheeler access still possible. Fishing over the past several weeks has slowed down for trout species. You really have to work for them to bite, even if you are seeing them on your fish finders. Bass and bluegill can be found along the dam in 14 to 35 feet of water. They are in the boulders and you must work to get them to come up and look at your presentation. Both species have become more finicky as the season continues, your presentation must be dialed in to catch these fish. For any other information about Steinaker State Park, please visit the Utah State Parks webpage
