The fishing is Santa Cruz is slowly starting to get better. There were a few halibut caught near Natural Bridges and the Mile Buoy in 80 feet of water. The calico and barred perch are getting big in the surf. I weighed in a 2 1/2 pound calico perch today. There have been striped bass caught from the harbor jetty to the Santa Cruz Wharf. There have been a few halibut and striped bass caught near the Cement Ship. The crab fishing has been decent in 90-150 feet of water. The wind is starting to calm down and the swell is flat.
