The lake was stocked today with 600 pounds of lunkers.

All these beauties will all be 6 pounds and up!

The weather this coming week should be ideal for the prime fall fishing season.  Daytime temps will range from the low 70’s.It will be quite chilly at night. These temps will be in the low 30’s.  The days should be mostly sunny with a couple of partly cloudy days. No rain is expected.

We have plenty of warm jackets, sweatshirts, beanies, gloves, and hand and toe warmers in the store.  You can grab a cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate to help warm you up.

Don’t forget that you can still sign up for the Ambush Derby until Nov. 15th.  The special tagged fish weekend, “Morrison’s Bonus Weekend”, will be Oct. 27th – 29th. If you are already in the derby, you are automatically entered into the tagged fish fun. The tags total $2,000!

The cooler temperatures have moved the fish into shallower water and closer to shore.  The late season trout fishing is going strong.  We have had many 3 to 6 pound fish being caught on inflated night crawlers, salmon peach, green garlic and rainbow power bait.  Mouse Tails in pink and white and red and brown have also been quite successful.  The bright pink Tasmanian Devil and the Red and Gold Thomas Buoyant are also a hit while trolling.

The campground will close on October 30th.  Our store, cabins, and restaurant will remain open all year.  The marina will close on Nov. 15th
