Kingston Canyon (Blue Ribbon)

Summer fishing is often difficult in Kingston Canyon as flow is high with irrigation releases from Otter Creek Reservoir. Visit www.sevierriver.org to see real-time flow. Focus on deep pools where water velocity may not be too fast. Be very cautious when wading in high flows.

 Upper

Runoff usually subsides by early to mid June. Wild trout are abundant in the upper East Fork Sevier River and its tributaries and summer fishing can be very productive with a variety of flies, lures, and natural baits. These open meadows are an ideal place to practice your fly casting. Terrestrial flies like foam hoppers and ants can provide some exciting action during the summer. Focus fishing efforts on early morning and late afternoon/evening.
