Ice off can be the best fishing of the year. Tiger trout will be shallow along the rocky shorelines feeding. Use jigs tipped with worms or chub meat, or silver colored spoons and spinners for best luck. Splake were introduced to the reservoir in 2021 to help control illegally introduced Utah chub and redside shiners. As water temperature increase trout will find refuge in deeper water. Shore fishing will be better early in the morning.
