Fishing has been good on all sections of the river. We are seeing some cicadas and other terrestrials, as well as several different aquatic hatches. If you hear cicadas buzzing in the trees those are good areas to try them, but they are only in certain parts of the river. Try fishing with caddis and crickets in the morning, and look to throw yellow sallies, PMD’s, and cicadas in the afternoons. Dry flies, dry dropper, and nymphing are all working, and some days streamers can be good. Be flexible in your approach and be willing to cycle through different flies.
