This high-elevation waterbody is a great location to try ice fishing for some trout. Winter access is not maintained to the parking lot and restroom. Ice often melts off in late May. As the snow melts and the reservoir fills, you can expect the water to be murky or muddy. Trout typically do not overwinter in this pond. Catchable rainbow trout are stocked in the spring.
