Piute Reservoir was mostly drained again in 2025 for irrigation use. The fishery has struggled due to drought conditions and water fluctuation in recent years. New efforts are underway to improve fishing opportunities in Piute Reservoir. White crappie, black crappie, white bass, bluegill, catfish and smallmouth bass have all been stocked. Summer surveys showed good numbers of crappie, bluegill and smallmouth. As the water warms up fishing could be good to fair.

Boulder Mountain Lakes: Most Boulder Mountain lakes that are closed during the winter will open to fishing on April 19
Fish Lake : The ice is starting to come off Fish Lake
Forsyth Reservoir : Restocking occurred in the fall with tiger and cutthroat trout
Gunnison Bend Reservoir : The numerous species will be getting more active as the water warms
Johnson Reservoir: No fish are scheduled to be stocked due to the continuing repairs on the dam outlet
Koosharem Reservoir : Fish can grow quickly in Koosharem and should provide some fishing opportunities
Lower Bowns Reservoir: Spring fishing is typically good to excellent
Otter Creek Reservoir: The reservoir is usually ice-free by mid March
