Trout catch rates are good during these spring months

DWR spring trout stocking efforts typically begin in February/early March for Willow Pond and continue into early June. Willow Pond receives a lot of angler traffic, but trout catch rates are good during these spring months. We recommend using a piece of nightcrawler fished below a bobber, or garlic-chartreuse trout dough bait fished off the bottom or behind a casting bubble. Lures (such as inline spinners, casting spoons and marabou jigs) and streamers (such as Pistol Pete flies, woolly buggers and leech patterns) can also be effective. Fishing violations are an issue at Willow Pond (both overharvest and fishing without a license). If you see a wildlife-related crime, please report it
