Trout catch rates are good to great during these spring months

DWR spring trout stocking efforts typically start in late February or early March for Salem Pond and continue into June. Trout catch rates are good to great during these spring months. We recommend using a piece of nightcrawler fished below a bobber, or garlic-chartreuse trout dough bait fished off the bottom or behind a casting bubble. Lures (such as inline spinners, casting spoons and marabou jigs) and streamers (such as Pistol Pete flies, woolly buggers and leech patterns) can also be effective
