On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, Blue Sky Cabo Fishing Charters welcomed James, MacKinsey, Anthony, Carlos, Brittany, Kyle, Richard, and Kelby aboard the 43-foot Riviera Blue Sky. The eight guests from Iowa and Nebraska were visiting Cabo San Lucas for a family wedding and chose a six-hour morning fishing charter as part of their celebration.

More familiar with freshwater fishing for Walleye, Perch, Northern Pike, and Bass, the group brought a different angling background to their first deep-sea fishing experience together. Their confirmed offshore catch was one Marlin.

From Freshwater Angling to a Marlin on This Cabo Fishing Charter

The July 15 outing represented a change of scenery and fishing style for James's group.

While Walleye, Perch, Pike, and Bass were familiar targets back home, the confirmed catch in Cabo was a Marlin, a powerful offshore billfish recognized for its speed and strength.

The charter offered the wedding group an opportunity to experience saltwater sportfishing aboard the Blue Sky, with one Marlin documented as the day's result.
