Sierra Mackerel and Marlin Fishing Action

Sandra and Scott joined Graydon and Alden aboard Blue Star for a five-hour fishing trip on April 15. Departing at 7:00 AM, the family had a morning dedicated to exploring Cabo San Lucas's productive Pacific fishing waters.

The charter produced two different species: one Sierra Mackerel and one Marlin. This combination brought variety to the day's catch, representing both the smaller coastal gamefish and the larger billfish that make Cabo a recognized sportfishing destination.

A dredge was included in the fishing setup, providing an additional fish-attracting presentation during the charter. The equipment complemented the crew's fishing operation aboard the 32-foot Luhrs.

Fishing Conditions and Catch Summary

The five-hour outing concluded at noon with two fish recorded. Sierra Mackerel are known for their quick movements and sharp teeth, while Marlin are prized for their power and demanding fights. Both species contributed to the family's Cabo fishing experience.

The charter's final catch consisted of exactly one Sierra Mackerel and one Marlin, with four guests aboard Blue Star.
