An earthquake has occurred with a magnitude such that a tsunami will not be generated. This will be the only WCATWC message issued for this event.
Preliminary Earthquake Parameters Magnitude - 4.6 Time - 1823 AKST Feb 11 2010 - 1923 PST Feb 11 2010 - 0323 UTC Feb 12 2010 Location - 56.4 North 152.0 West - 100 Miles/161 km S of Kodiak City Alaska - 340 Miles/547 km SW of Anchorage Alaska Depth - 2 Miles/3 km The location and magnitude are based on preliminary information. Further information will be issued by the United States Geological Survey - Earthquake.USGS.GOV - or the Appropriate Regional Seismic Network.
