An earthquake has occurred with a magnitude such that a tsunami will not be generated. This will be the only WCATWC message issued for this event.
Preliminary Earthquake Parameters Magnitude - 4.5 Time - 1430 AKST Feb 22 2010 - 1530 PST Feb 22 2010 - 2330 UTC Feb 22 2010 Location - 56.8 North 153.3 West - 75 Miles/121 km SW of Kodiak City Alaska - 330 Miles/531 km SW of Anchorage Alaska Depth - 16 Miles/25 km The location and magnitude are based on preliminary information. Further information will be issued by the United States Geological Survey - Earthquake.USGS.GOV - or the Appropriate Regional Seismic Network.
