Preliminary Earthquake Parameters MAGNITUDE - 4.2 TIME - 2346 AKST MAR 05 2010 0046 PST MAR 06 2010 0846 UTC MAR 06 2010 LOCATION - 40.3 NORTH 124.3 WEST 35 MILES/56 KM SW OF EUREKA CALIFORNIA 200 MILES/322 KM NW OF SAN FRANCISCO CALIFORNIA DEPTH - 9 MILES/14 KM The location and magnitude are based on preliminary information. Further information will be issued by the United States Geological Survey - Earthquake.USGS.GOV - or the Appropriate Regional Seismic Network.
