AAA brings best trout ponds yet to Fred Hall Shows.
Many a youngster has caught their first fish at the Fred Hall Show and after 65 years the Fred Hall Shows are going to have a brand new Kids Fish Free Trout Pond experience. Presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California and supported by Shakespeare, the new pond(s) will offer a unique kids fishing experience.
A new system has been put in place that will maximize the potential for kids to catch fish at the pond. Using Shakespeare rods and reels designed for kids, this will be the first time in about 40 years that reels will be used in a Kids Fish Free Pond at a Fred Hall Show.
Kids will be able to choose whether to keep the fish they catch or to release them. If they release the fish they will be put into a "recovery pool" where they can recover and then be placed back into the "catch" pond. This will enable the majority of the fish to be stress free and should encourage a much higher bite level. New loads of fish will arrive during the week to ensure a good bite for the kids each day. If kids decide to keep their fish, then they can take them with them right there, or place them in a special refrigerator to be picked up later.
