We had slight winds from the south in the morning on the way to the fishing grounds, but by mid-morning the winds died down and the sea was calm, making fishing very enjoyable. The bait of choice was Mackerel and with the abundance of them around it was easy to load up our boats with an ample supply for our clients. We used our standard rigs with Shakespeare Ugly Stick rods, Avet reels and fluorocarbon leaders and fly-lined the mackerel.
Most of our clients fished around the El Bajo seamount and were rewarded with some very good eating Yellowtail as pictured.
