Chico Bass Club

The Chico Bass Club held its monthly tournament at Bullard's Bar. The weather was good, but the fishing was very tough. Out of 23 anglers, only eight managed to catch a keeper fish. Final results: Butch Maciel- 8.41 pounds total, Cheryl Cavanagh- 2.21, Randy Bowersox- 1.96, Nate Wilkerson- 1.73, Vi Brown- 1.16; Big Fish, Maciel- 4.07.
At last month's meeting, the club voted to donate $300 to local Boy Scout Troop #3, which will be collecting Christmas trees at the end of next month, and preparing them for use as fish spawning habitat in local lakes including Oroville.
There will not be a December club tournament, but next month's meeting will be held at 7:30 PM on Dec. 7 at Logan's Roadhouse in Chico. The club welcomes new members. Call club president Randy Bowersox at 343-4058 for more information.
