The DFG planted catchable-size trout this week in the following area waters: Shasta County- Lower Clark Creek, Clear Creek above Whiskeytown, Little Cow Creek, Grace Lake, Upper Hat Creek, Hatchet Creek, Iron Canyon Reservoir, Kilarc Reservoir, McCloud Reservoir, McCumber Reservoir, Montgomery Creek, North Battle Creek Reservoir, Rock Creek below Britton, Whiskeytown Lake; Siskiyou County- Cold Creek, Lake Shastina, Orr Creek, Siskiyou Lake.

Tomorrow [Saturday Apr. 28] marks the traditional "opening day" of California's trout fishing season.
