The dedication ceremony April 26 for the bronze display at Fisherman's Landing was incorrectly labeled by myself and other writers. On April 30 I received an email from Ingrid Poole. "The title of the memorial," wrote Ingrid, "is the Sportfishing Legacy. It is for the entire sportfishing industry, not just Bill Poole, as he represents the entire industry for all that he and others have done to make the San Diego Fleet the finest of its kind in the world.

"One person on the waterfront I greatly respect said that only six or seven people actually understand that Bill laid the foundation for everything that everyone now enjoys and takes for granted. I needn't name the list of things Bill took on personally to enhance the fleet."
