The East Walker is holding its own temperature wise the last few days. The fish still seem to be pretty healthy. Again we're keeping a close eye on it and will let you know when we start recommending to keep off this great section of river. So far though, they're still hitting the surface pretty well. They're liking both larger dries like stimulators and hoppers, as well as smaller stuff like olive gulper specials and hatchmatchers. With the larger dries you can drop a midge or caddis nymph off the bottom and do well. The Nevada side of the East Walker is also fishing very well. The water tends to get a better supply of oxygen across the state line due to the more rapid nature of the river. The Sceirine Ranch as well as the Rosachi Ranch are both fishing excellent. We've had reports of quite a few anglers getting in to 20 or more fish a day down there.
