Our new friends John Grogan and his wife went out on the first of their 3 days with Redrum. Aboard El Nuevo with Captain Alex and new mate Ramiro they were able to catch and release 5 Stripe Marlin and also caught a 35 lb Yellow fin Tuna. On Captain Omar's 28' Reel Rum he netted 2 Tuna and released 3 Stripe Marlin. Todd and his 2 children went out with Xavier on Rum Runnin to experience the thrill of a Marlin catch. They were able to get 4 Stripes to the boat for photos and releases. The catch of the day came from one of our partner boats. Laurita took out the Mr. Hall and his family as Tantrum had some problems with her starter. Understandably our folks were a bit hesitant of fishing a "non-Redrum" boat. We assured them that everything was going to be alright and that they had our word about the quality of boat we put them on. 12 Tuna, 6 Dorado, and 2 Stripe Marlin later with 20 flags hoisted on the 28' boat the Halls were all smiles! Thank you for cooperating and we are glad everything worked out.

Yet again the strong sun, little cloud coverage, and calm nights created warm waters for our captains to fish. Golden Gate was the playground for Marlin and Dorado this week. Near perfect temperature breaks made...... Read More

Unfortunately, the Port was closed. Some strong winds that blew into Cabo Saturday night led to rough seas. The Port Captain issued a report that closed the Port down at 9:00 pm Saturday night due to "severe rough seas". The port did not open until 4:50 pm later that afternoon. Although we do everything in our power to make sure everyone goes out and fishes we have to understand that sometimes you can't beat Mother Nature!...... Read More
