The water level is rising, water clarity is improving and the water temperature has risen to the low 60s. Bass fishing has heated up during the recent warm weather, but the frequent windy cold fronts have really slowed things down. Try using a variety of techniques when the fish are active. The keys to success are hitting the right depth and fishing with a pattern that you're confident about. Try looking for fish in 10 to 15 feet during warm periods and closer to 20 feet on cool days. Anglers are catching some nice-sized crappie. Recreational boaters are out in force on the weekends.
