Redondo Lake - Yuma, AZ

Lake Information

Fish Species: Channel Catfish, Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Redear Sunfish
Redondo Lake in Yuma, Arizona, is a compact 4-acre pond located within the scenic Yuma West Wetlands Park. As a designated Community Fishing Water managed by AZGFD, the lake is stocked year-round with catchable-sized trout, catfish, and sunfish, offering a highly accessible urban fishing experience for anglers of all ages.

Rainbow trout are stocked from late fall through early spring and are commonly caught using PowerBait, spinners, and salmon eggs. During the warmer months, channel catfish dominate the fishery and are best targeted with chicken liver or stink bait. Bluegill and sunfish offer consistent action for beginners using worms or small jigs. A limited number of largemouth bass are present and must be released immediately.

Redondo Lake features paved trails, accessible fishing platforms, shade structures, and a family-friendly park setting. The lake’s small size and easy access make it ideal for teaching children to fish or for quick after-work outings.

Fishing is regulated under Community Fishing Program rules, which include a two-fish limit for trout and catfish and a five-fish limit for sunfish. All bass must be released.

With consistent stocking, beautiful surroundings, and convenient in-town access, Redondo Lake stands out as one of Yuma’s best locations for community-based fishing and outdoor recreation.
