This bald eagle looks down on Kilarc from a ponderosa pine tree near the water. A few minutes after this photo was taken the eagle caught a fish, something that won’t be possible in the future.

Nightcrawlers can be inflated with a worm blower to make them float above the weedy lake bottom. Usually that works just fine, but we did better on a recent trip to Kilarc Reservoir by fishing the worms with a bobber.

Even I was able to fool some of the planted trout at KIlarc and here in one of the trout I took home for dinner. The fish were biting on Power Bait and nightcrawlers rigged to float above the bottom where the trout could see them.
