The fishing remains quite difficult for the Mazatlan angling groups
and continues to make for some very long and uneventful fishing days
for the anglers and the crews.
While most of the boats are having a shot at a dorado or two for dinner, the billfish bite is down to about 1 for every 4th boat. Overall counts for 23 offshore fishing days reflected 3 stripers, 3 sailfish, 19 dorado and 1 giant squid. The super pangas, reporting for 5 fishing days, reflected 13 vaquetas, 8 pargo 7 corvina, 7 ttoro and 6 lenguas.
Mazatlan Climate: Mostly sunny and warm, temps from 55 nights to 88 daytime highs, near perfect.
Sea Conditions: Calm with slight swell and light tropical breezes, temps from 73 inshore to 74 offshore.
Best Fishing Area: None reported
Best Lure/Bait: Rigged baits caught the billfish and most of the dorado.
