According to Captain Temo Verboonen, the billfish were all over the place and good numbers, but mostly unwilling to bite. The overall bite was moving about the area from day to day and the blue water has moved back off shore a little farther. Still, the boats are managing from 1-6 strikes a day on the billfish but compared to the numbers of billfish being seen, that is a very slow bite ratio. The inshore fishing has picked up considerably for pompano, jack cravelle and bonito, but no roosterfish.

IZ Climate: Mostly sunny and warm days, temps from 72 nights to 88 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: Calm, water temps from 82 inshore to 83 offshore.

Best Fishing Area: None! The billfish are jumping everywhere in the offshore waters but it's the "luck of the draw" on finding the biters.

Best Bait/Lure: Rigged baits working well for the billfish but live bait working better.
