According to Captain Temo Verboonen, our dockside representative, the fishing this past week is just so-so. He reports the black & blue marlin are still chewing on the slow trolled down-rigger baits and are averaging around 200 lbs., but the fish have moved offshore with the water temperature changes. The water apparently greend-up this past week and the boats were mostly fishing in the areas from 15 miles and on out from the entrance to Zihuatanejo Bay. The sailfish have been scattered about, too, with a few being caught in the off- colored greenish water, inside the 15 mile mark. There's still a good inshore bite on the jack cravelle for the light tackle anglers. Overall, he says it's very slow on anglers at the pier each day and not many boats going out.

Sea Conditions: Near perfect for calmness with only light tropical surface breezes and little swell, with temps from 79 inshore to 81-82 offshore.
